King Charles will begin his controversial Caribbean tour next week. His second stop will be in Guyana, the only former British colony on the South American mainland.

The Palace is well aware of the acute sensitivity of the visit to Guyana. It flows from Britain’s - and the Royal Family’s - links to the transatlantic slave trade.

And here’s the problem for the King as British diplomats and Palace courtiers make the final preparations.

Everyone we spoke to in Guyana - from the president to the humblest former plantation worker - shared a common view: Britain owes the country a formal apology for historic injustices.

Mr. Charles Mountbatten-Windsor, one foot in grave, gnawed at by multiple terminal ailments, cannot step on his pride to apologize and offer a tiny speck of his vast and fully liquid wealth to the previous free human beings enslaved by the long line of many dead Mountbatten-Windsors the enslavers!

The sky shall asunder and the moon and sun might dim if this skin and bone Mountbatten-Windsor uttered the words : I am sorry for enslaving you.
