Dr Mimi Syed is an emergency medicine physician who worked in Gaza during Israel’s genocide. Wes Bryant is a Pentagon whistleblower and war crimes analyst who served as a special adviser to the United Nations International Commission of Inquiry on Palestine.
In the span of just one month, Syed documented 18 cases in which a child came into the emergency room with a single shot to the head, neck, chest or abdomen. She said there were more cases she couldn’t document because of the chaos during the genocide.
She emphasised that if this were stray shrapnel accidentally hitting a child, there would be other injuries.
“None of the children that I documented had any other injury,” Syed said.
She concluded that this indicates intentionality on the part of Israeli forces.
Syed also noted that most of the victims were under age 12 and clearly identifiable as children.
