Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters marched through central Paris on Saturday, waving Palestinian flags and demanding greater international pressure over Israel’s military campaign in Gaza and expanding settlements in the occupied West Bank. Demonstrators gathered at Place du Châtelet before marching through the French capital, accusing the government of President Emmanuel Macron of failing to take stronger action. The protest, organised by CAPJPO-EuroPalestine, comes amid renewed scrutiny of Israeli settlement expansion, land seizures and proposals concerning Palestinian displacement from Gaza. Housing, humanitarian conditions and Israel’s actions in Gaza and the West Bank remain major points of international debate.
