Meir Ben-Shitrit: Severe sexual abuse of a Palestinian detainees

Meir Ben-Shitrit is an Israeli reservist soldier from Unit 100 who identified himself as one of the main suspects in the alleged gang rape of a Palestinian detainee at the Sde Teiman detention facility in southern Israel.

Sde Teiman Allegations: Ben-Shitrit was one of several soldiers detained in July 2024 regarding the severe sexual abuse of a Palestinian detainee, which reportedly caused injuries including a rectal tear, punctured lung, and cracked ribs.

Is he a dual citizen, if so we can file criminal charges against him in his other country of citizenship
or
Does have interests overseas to file legal proceedings to forfeit as damages for the Palestinian people.

Media Appearance and Public Identity:** Shortly after his detention, Ben-Shitrit appeared on Israel’s Channel 14 in a mask to discuss the incident before voluntarily revealing his face and identity in a video on the X platform, identifying himself as “Meir from Unit 100”.

Response to Charges: He has publicly denied the accusations, claiming the charges are “invented” and maintaining that his unit operated within the law at the detention center.

“Shabbat shalom to all the people of Israel, this is Meir from Force 100.” He then proceeded to read the bible episode of the week, from Deuteronomy 1, 16-18:

“And I charged your judges at that time, ‘Hear the disputes between your people and judge fairly, whether the case is between two Israelites or between an Israelite and a foreigner residing among you. Do not show partiality in judging; hear both small and great alike. Do not be afraid of anyone, for judgment belongs to God. Bring me any case too hard for you, and I will hear it.’ And at that time I told you everything you were to do.”
