ETERNALLY PALESTINIAN – FUNERAL VIGILS PROTOCOL

A Permanent Memorial for Victims of Genocide

1. CORE PRINCIPLES

Principle Definition
Dignity Each victim is named, recognised, and honoured. They are no longer a number.
Interfaith Two religious authorities preside: one Muslim (European convert), one Christian (Palestinian) – to embody universality and break stereotypes.
Global Participation The vigil is online, accessible worldwide, without geographical barriers.
Traceability & Evidence Every presentation is recorded on Bloxberg (academic blockchain), with images, dates, and circumstances.
Sobriety The vigil is centred on the victims – Qawl is the support, not the subject.
Interaction A digital Book of Remembrance allows participants to leave testimonies, prayers, and tributes.

2. RELIGIOUS LEADERSHIP

Role Profile Rationale
Muslim Authority A European convert, recognised for spirituality and humanitarian commitment Removes political bias; embodies a faith freely chosen, universal in scope.
Christian Authority A Palestinian Christian, rooted in the land and memory of Palestine Challenges the stereotype that “Palestine = Muslim”; shows the diversity of the Palestinian people.
Master of Ceremonies (optional) Mahmoud or a Qawl representative Introduces, frames, and closes the vigil with sobriety.

3. VIGIL FORMAT (Online, 60–75 Minutes)

Step Duration Content
1. Spiritual Opening 5 min Opening prayer, reading, or word of peace from one of the religious authorities.
2. Presentation of Victims 30–40 min Each victim presented individually: name, date of birth (if known), place and circumstances of death, brief testimony (if available). An image or symbol is displayed on screen.
3. Moment of Silence 2 min In memory of all victims – known and unknown.
4. Book of Remembrance 5 min Invitation to leave a message, prayer, or tribute online. Messages can be public or private.
5. Blockchain Certificate Presentation 5 min For one or two identified victims, the NFT or Bloxberg record is shown live on screen.
